One of England's World Cup opponents, Ghana will play a friendly against Germany in Stuttgart in March as they build up to the tournament in North America.

Although they failed to qualify for the current AFCON competition taking place in Morocco, Ghana were impressive in World Cup qualfying with eight wins from their ten matches easily securing top spot in Group I.

For Germany they will potentially provide a similar test to their group stage opponents Ivory Coast.

Ghana, who take on England on 23 June in the second group game for both sides, faced Japan and South Korea in their most recent internationals, losing 2-0 against a Japan side who travel to Wembley in March and by a single goal to South Korea.

Top January transfer target Antoine Semenyo was part of their squad for those games but will not be joined by Manchester United defender Ayden Heaven according to reports.

The 19-year-old qualifies to play for Ghana via a grandparent but, having played for England at various age group levels, wants to represent the Three Lions at senior level.
