Lindsay is a versatile player who impressed the England manager with her solid defensive performances in the Algarve Cup in March 2005.

After coming through the U21 ranks she is now challenging for a place in the England back line.

Her versatility means she can play across the back four and her strength at the heart of the Everton defence saw her singled out as their Player of the Match in this season's narrow 1-0 FA Women's Cup Final defeat to Charlton Athletic.

More recently, Lindsay stepped in for Faye White, when the England captain was injured, ensuring the Three Lions kept a clean sheet in the record 13-0 win against Hungary in October 2005.
