England Women came back from 2-0 down to keep their hopes of a play-off place for the 2011 World Cup finals, alive.
A 16th minute goal from Adriana Martin meant that England went in 1-0 down at half-time, having been outplayed by the Spanish, in the first 45 minutes.
England knew that a draw was good enough to keep their head to head record with Spain, and they came out much improved in the second half.
However, a goal by Sonia Bermudez, in the 68th minute made any kind of comeback look unlikely for the Three Lions.
Then, as luck would have it Rachel Unitt pulled one back after 78 minutes, and England once again looked more confident. Captain Faye White made absolutely sure when she prodded home an 88th-minute equaliser.
England now need only one more victory from their remaining two qualifiers, against Turkey and Austria, to book their place in the play-offs and leave them just two games away from a spot at next summer's World Cup Finals in Germany.
