An England v Kosovo Double-Header

Last updated : 20 July 2019 By Three Lions

England Under-21's will play their first Euro 2021 qualifier at the home of Hull City on Monday 9 September when they take on Kosovo just a day before the two senior sides meet in a Euro 2020 qualifier at St Mary's in Southampton.

Having furnished other European nations with some very accomplished players over the years, Kosovo's acceptance into the UEFA and FIFA ranks means the talent pool in the Balkan nation now has the chance to play full international football for the country of their birth.

And that chance has been taken in some style to date with Kosovo topping their Nations League group last year and staking an early claim for the runners-up spot behind England in their Euro 2020 group.

So it will be interesting to see what kind of quality lies in their Under-21 ranks against a Three Lions squad smarting from a dismal European Championship Finals this summer but with players such as Phil Foden now likely to come to the fore for the next qualification cycle.

Early-bird adult tickets for the clash in Hull are priced at £10 if purchased by Monday 19 August with Under 16 tickets just £1.
