The England C team will take on the Republic of Ireland in May.

Paul Fairclough has named his squad, drawn from players outside of the Football League, to take on an Irish XI at the Whitehall Stadium in Dublin on Sunday 27 May at 2.15pm.

The game follows on from an exciting 3-2 win against Wales last month.

Full squad details are on the FA website.

England's World Cup opponents Panama, meanwhile, were in friendly action earlier in the week, winning 1-0 against Trinidad & Tobago.

As the game fell outside of the FIFA window for international matches it was a team drawn entirely from the Panamanian league who took the field according to a report on the Concacaf website.
