The game takes place at the National Stadium at Ta' Qali which has a capacity just short of 17,000.

England fans have been allocated 4,039 seats in the North Stand with 3,700 tickets sold by the FA as of early July.

The Maltese FA, which is celebrating 60 years of international football in 2017, has reported that all tickets available to local supporters have been sold.

Dr Angelo Chetcuti, the MFA General Secretary said.

“Planning for the Malta-England match began several months ago as a game of this scale poses a logistical challenge for the Malta FA but thanks to the efforts and dedication of all those involved, the preparations are on track.”

And preparations are already underway on the pitch as Malta prepare to face both England and Scotland (at Hampden Park) in the space of a few days.

Ebbsfleet United new-boy Sam Magri, a 23-year-old defender who qualifies for the national team through a Maltese grandfather after previously representing Englang at youth level, is in line for a place in the squad named for the double-header.
