Hosts Portugal play Switzerland in the first Nations League Semi-Final on Wednesday evening with England or Holland awaiting the winners in the weekend final.

With Cristiano Ronaldo in their ranks the Portuguese are looking to add to their Euro 2016 success and Swiss coach Vladimir Petkovic believes they are clear favourites to lift the trophy.

England, meanwhile, welcomed back their Champions League finalists to St George's Park on Tuesday.

And the recent success of the national team continues to have benefits for the Football Association as they announced a major new tie-up with BT on Tuesday that will be worth around £10 million per year and covers all England teams at all levels.

Mark Bullingham, FA chief commercial and football development officer, said: “This is a great start to an exciting week for England football, with the Lionesses starting their World Cup campaign and the men’s senior team in the finals of the Nations League."

At the Toulon Tournament there was disappointment for the Three Lions Under-20 side as they lost 3-2 to Portugal.
