The new Bundesliga season starts this weekend and England's backroom staff will keep an eye on a number of players who have represented the Three Lions at various age group levels.

Former Manchester City youngster Jadon Sancho is the most likely to earn a call-up to one of Gareth Southgate's squad after moving to Borussia Dortmund and featuring for their first-team last season.

Part of the squad that won the World Under-17 Cup, Sancho was tipped in some quarters to be a surprise name in Southgate's World Cup party.

In the Bundesliga this season he will be joined by Under-20 international Kaylen Hinds at Wolfsburg and Under-19 cap Keanan Bennets who has moved from Tottenham Hotspur to Borussia Moenchengladbach among others.

Some of the players involved have family links with Germany but a clearer route through to first-team football is also a factor in the big decisions that some of these young players have made.
