The former Southampton and Everton manager has been named as Holland's new boss.

Capped 78 times by his country as a player and a European Championship winner in 1988, Koeman replaces Dick Advocaat and will begin the process of building towards Euro 2020 in his first game in charge.

That comes against England, in Amsterdam, on 23 March when Gareth Southgate's side take their next step towards Russia 2018.

The Three Lions face both Holland and Italy during the next international break.

Italy, who have failed to qualify for the World Cup for the first time since 1958, have confirmed that Under-21 coach Luigi Di Biagio will continue as caretaker of the senior side for the Wembley clash.
