England to Renew Wales Rivalry

England and Wales will renew their rivalry on October 8th with a Wembley friendly behind closed doors ahead of Nations League fixures for the Three Lions at the same venue against Belgium and Denmark.

It means England have seven scheduled matches in a busy end to 2020 after the cancellation of March friendlies and the postponement of the European Championships.

The friendly clash will be the 103rd meeting of the two nations.

Ryan Giggs steered Wales to qualification for the Euros and recently told The Guardian that his side will be a 'match for anyone' when the delayed tournament does get underway.

"We are getting to that stage where we’ve got a couple of players in each position, which Wales have probably never had in regards to strength in depth," said the former Manchester United star.
