Jude Bellingham is leading the way for a new generation of talent who have made a move away from English football.

A feature of recent years has been the willingness of England-qualified players to try a different footballing path and the success of Jadon Sancho among others has clearly been an inspiration.

Sancho's new Borussia Dortmund colleague Bellingham, signed from Birmingham City in the summer, has made a positive start to life in the Bundesliga in addition to marking his step up to England under-21 level in style with a goal on debut against Kosovo earlier this month.

Also creating a good impression in the opening weeks of the new season have been Yunus Musah, the 17-year-old former Arsenal academy prospect having already made the first-team at Valencia and ex-Tottenham youngster Noni Madueke, with PSV Eindhoven since the summer of 2018 and who has started the season firmly in the first-team picture with the Dutch giants.
