The Football Association have confirmed they are seeking sponsors for Wembley Stadium, but say they would not consider renaming the home of English football.
Ian Watmore, the FA’s chief executive, said on Wednesday that the money was needed to help repay loans taken out to build the ground.
“We’d have to work it out exactly, but we won’t be calling it the x,y,z Wembley Stadium or the Somethingorother.com Wembley,” he told The Guardian.
“Wembley will remain Wembley, the national stadium.”
