England may have plodded through their qualifying group somewhat but the Three Lions can now focus on their preparations for the tournament, starting with the high-profile friendlies against Germany and Brazil over the next seven days.
Meanwhile, the likes of Italy, Australia, Ireland and Croatia are facing play-off matches to try and secure their spot among the 32 teams.
Once the ties are done and dusted, attention will then turn to the draw for the Finals itself which takes place on 1 December in the impsosing surroundings of the Kremlin.
Eight groups of four teams will be drawn with the allocations based on the October edition of the FIFA World Rankings where England were placed in 12th position.
