David James' place in the England squad for next years World Cup finals in South Africa is in danger because of a knee injury,
It has been disclosed that, because of the injury, the 39-year-old Portsmouth goalkeeper is unable to train properly and struggles to recover after taking part in games.
"Every time he plays, he can't train for two days afterwards," England coach Fabo Capello has said.
"If he is fit, he will probably be with us, but he has to be fit."
