Sir Stanley Matthews' 1954-55 England cap

Manchester City defender Kyle Walker is set to be the next member of Gareth Southgate's squad to reach 50 caps for England, following in the footsteps of Jordan Henderson and Raheem Sterling who both achieved the milestone last season.

Having made his debut in 2011 in a friendly against Spain, the 29-year-old Yorkshireman has been a regular under Southgate, his versatility across the back line a valuable asset to the England boss.

His current total of 48 caps for England could be a half-century by the time September's double-header against Bulgaria and Kosovo has finished.

And with a new contract recently signed at Manchester City until 2024 Walker has plenty of years at the top level still ahead of him and a potential century of caps in reach.
