Phil Neville has named his first post-World Cup squad with four new faces for the upcoming away friendlies against Belgium on 29th August and Norway on 3rd September.

The games mark the beginning of England’s preparations for Euro 2021 which will be staged on home soil with the hosts qualifying automatically although the current nature of the women’s game means a series of friendly fixtures may prove an equal or greater test than a routine qualifying group.

In addition, Neville will also take charge of the GB team set to compete at next year’s Olympics and which will contain a number of England players.

The manager is looking to take the next step with a squad that has reached the semi-finals of their last three major tournaments.

After naming his squad he said: "The next two years are really exciting.

"From the minute I landed back in Birmingham when we got back (from the World Cup) my thoughts went to how do we win the next Euros, how do we get through a semi-final, how do we get these players up to the level that will get us that gold medal we all want?"
