Gareth Southgate has named his final squad of 2019 for the last two Euro 2020 qualifiers against Montenegro and Kosovo and has included Leicester City's in-form James Maddison.

Maddison pulled out of October's internationals before being pictured on a night out but Southgate was relaxed about that when asked by the press.

"As an England player you have a different profile. Everyone has a camera-phone and wants to make money selling pictures.

"We are supporting him because we have picked him and he has to fight for his place like everybody else."

Maddison's has provided much of the ammunition for Jamie Vardy to become this season's top goalscorer in the Premier League but the 32-year-old won't be coming back to the England fold at the present time.

"It isn't one for now but we keep monitoring that because you have a ready-made experienced player who could come in if we felt that was the right thing," said the England boss of the player who he took to Russia 2018.

John Stones and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain do make a return to the squad while Callum Hudson-Odoi steps back up from the Under 21's.
