Southgate to sleep soundly on Sunday

Gareth Southgate is confident that England will have left no stone unturned in their preparation to face Tunisia.

The long build-up to the World Cup will finally end for the Three Lions on Monday as they open their campaign in Group G.

Sunday will see England fly out to Volgograd from their training camp and Southgate has said he will sleep soundly the night before the game as 'the preparations and the decisions I have to take are all done.'

Monday will be a long day of waiting for both sides as they do not kick-off until 9pm local time, 7pm back home when an army of supporters will be filling up bars and pubs after work.

The manager has said he wants his players to send people in 'happy' with what they have seen from his side and will be happy for the talking to stop and the action to begin.

A general consensus among the media is that the England players already know the starting XI for the Tunisia game with Kieran Trippier and Ashley Young set to take the full-back slots, Harry Maguire get the nod over Gary Cahill among the three central defenders and Jordan Henderson preferred over Eric Dier at the base of the midfield.
