England will have a makeshift defence for Saturday's friendly against Brazil in Doha after John Terry suffered an ankle injury.
The Three Lions captain, 28, is the second Chelsea player to suffer an injury in as many days after Frank Lampard suffered a thigh muscle injury which will keep him out of action for three weeks.
Fabio Capello, the England coach, will also be without defenders Rio Ferdinand, Glen Johnson and Ashley Cole, goalkeeper David James, midfielders David Beckham and Steven Gerrard as well as the forwards Emile Heskey and Carlton Cole.
