England Under-17's will take on Portugual, Germany and the Netherlands in the Algarve later this month as they step up their preparations for this summer's European Championships on home soil.

Boss Steve Cooper has named a 21-man squad, including five Arsenal players, for the matches.

England will host the UEFA Euro Under-17 Championships later this year and to mark the 100-day countdown to the tournament a ticket offer for schools has been announced.

10 matches are taking place at 1pm in the afternoon to allow for school visits, with tickets priced at £2 for children and free for accompanying adults/teachers.

Details are available on the FA website.

With St George's Park acting as the hub for the tournament, venues across the Midlands and South Yorkshire will also be part of the action.

Chesterfield FC will stage the opening match and Rotherham United the final, with matches taking place between 4 and 20 May 2018.

England, now world champions at Under-17 level after their triumph in India earlier this year, will qualify automatically as hosts and will be joined by 15 other nations.

Speaking to the FA website, UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin said: "The European Under-17 Championship gives football fans an early opportunity to watch talented young footballers as they start out on what they hope will be successful careers in the game."
