England will take on Switzerland, Italy and Israel in the group stage of the UEFA European Under-17 Championship.

Tournament ambassador Wayne Rooney made the draw earlier this week for the competition which will be held in England in May.

Venues across the Midlands and South Yorkshire will be used with the final taking place at the New York Stadium, home of Rotherham United, on May 20.

England's group games will be against Israel at 7pm on Friday 4 May at Chesterfield FC, against Italy at 3pm on Monday 7 May at Walsall FC and against Switzerland at 7pm on Thursday 10 May at Rotherham United FC.

Tickets for all matches are on sale now, priced at £4 Adults and £2 Concessions with a special package in place for all three of England's group games.

Having played in the 2002 edition of the tournament, Rooney told the official FAwebsite: "Looking back it was fantastic and a great time for me to be chosen to play for England at U17 level, just to try and develop yourself as a footballer.

These tournaments can catapult you onto the next level, break into the first team at your club and can really help you on your way to become a superstar."
