England will find out at the end of 2010 if they have won the right to host the 2018 World Cup finals.
The Fifa executive committee will invite associations to bid to hold the 2018 and 2022 tournaments from next month.
They will confirm the host countries for both tournaments in December 2010.
England will face competition from Spain, Belgium/Holland, Australia, Qatar, China, Japan, Mexico and the United States to host the 2018 competition.
