West Ham have agreed the signing of England U21 midfielder Henri Lansbury on an initial season-long loan from Arsenal.
The Hammers have moved for Lansbury, 20, after Scott Parker completed his protracted transfer to Tottenham earlier on Wednesday.
Lansbury wants regular first-team football having failed to make the breakthrough with Arsenal.
He only came on as a late substitute during Sunday's 8-2 defeat by Manchester United despite an injury to Jack Wilshere, Alex Song's suspension and the departures of Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri.
Debutant Francis Coquelin was preferred in the centre of midfield at Old Trafford by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.
Lansbury had been linked with moves to QPR, Wolves, Blackburn and Norwich, the team he helped secure promotion to the top flight while on loan last season.
