Paul Fairclough's England C side had to settle for a draw with the Wales U23 side on Tuesday night.

The Three Lions side, made up largely of Blue Square Premier players, took the lead through captain Kyle McFadzean after just two minutes.

They were 2-0 up by half-time when Alex Rodman's shot was deflected. England were the better side again in the second-half, with Michael Gash firing over when he should have done better.

They were made to pay for their missed chances when Craig Moses pulled one back, turning the ball home after Scott Barrow's shot was parried.

Lee Surman scored the equaliser, taking advantage of poor England defending from a corner.

Indeed, the home side could have gone on to win the match - with Jack Christopher and Marc Williams going close.
