The Czech Republic have named Petr Rada has their new boss, with his first task being to prepare his side for a friendly against England in August.

Rada, 49, replaces Karel Brucner as head coach having been his assistant during the Euro 2008 tournament.

He will leave his position as coach of FK Teplice, who play in the Czech tpo flight.

"I would like to unite the team and all have to pull in the same direction," he said.

"I would like to persuade the players it is not about money, but about the will to play for their country. This must be the first priority.

"The clubs are important for them, but the national team must be a question of pride."

The Czech Republic will play England in a friendly at Wembley on Wednesday August 20.
