Laurent Blanc, the France coach, praised his side after the recorded their first win under his reign.
Blanc replaced Raymond Domenech after disappointing and controversial World Cup for Les Bleus, in which their first-round exit was marred by a strike among their players.
Blanc's first friendly was a 2-1 loss to Norway in Oslo, while they were beaten 1-0 by Belarus in Paris on Friday in their first competitive outing since the World Cup.
They were 2-0 victors over Bosnia on Tuesday night, thanks to goals from Karim Benzema and Florent Malouda, giving Blanc hope that qualification for the European Championship finals will be achieved.
"After Belarus I told the players that they hadn't made the most of the good things they did during the game. I can no longer say that," he said.
"They were beyond reproach, not only their performance but also their spirit, and they were rewarded. Before the match I told them they must earn at least a point. We ended up taking two more and I am very happy.
"After our defeat at the Stade de France, I read that it was 'catastrophic'. This time, I will not read that it is fantastic, but this can be the start of something good."
