William Gallas has blamed France's poor showing in Euro 2008 on a lack of team morale - writing in his autobiography about a row with an international teammate.

Gallas, who also hit the headlines earlier this week after crticising his Arsenal teammates, said young players in Les Bleus side were too cocky.

In his book, published on Friday, the defender said he had fallen out with a player who sat in the wrong seat - Thierry Henry's - on the team coach and had another row with him during a training session.

Although Gallas does not identify the player, who he refers to as S, the French newspaper L'Equipe claimed it was his Arsenal teammate Samir Nasri.

"They think they know everything but they know nothing. I too was 20 years old once," he wrote.

"I would never have allowed myself to speak in such a way to a player older than me. We respected the veterans. We shut out mouths."
