William Gallas' agent has denied claims the controversial defender is looking to leave Arsenal.

Gallas, 31, was stripped of the club captaincy and dropped last weekend following a verbal attack on his team-mates.

The defender lifted the lid on dressing room unrest at the Emirates Stadium and accused some of his colleagues of lacking courage.

The former Chelsea defender has been restored to the squad for Tuesday's Champions League game against Dynamo Kyiv, but speculation has continued to surround his future at the north London club.

However, agent Etienne Mendy claims his client will be staying with the Gunners.

"William doesn't talk and the English media takes advantage of it," he said.

"Since his bad mood gesture against Birmingham last year they have imagined his departure from Arsenal. It is fake.

"He has taken the critics and has already turned the page. Anyway, William is never better than with his back to the wall."
