Poland's sports minister Miroslaw Drewiecki has raised fears that Ukraine will not be prepared to co-host Euro 2012.

Poland are building six new stadiums, two more than originally proposed.

Drewiecki said redevelopment of the Republic Stadium in Kiev was behind schedule and his nation were preparing contingency plans to host more games.

"The absence of political stability in Ukraine does not benefit. We are ready to implement a plan B foreseeing Poland must do a little more," he said on TVN24, a Polish TV station.

"In Ukraine, the stadium in Kiev is the key issue for the project. If we can overcome difficulties at that site things will not be too bad."

Drzewiecki said Poland was ahead of schedule with their preparations for the tournament, though he admitted airports were a "weak point".
