| Craig Levein, the Scotland manager, is hoping to be drawn against England in qualifying for the 2012 European Championship. |
| Sunday's draw in Warsaw, Poland, will decide who faces who to reach the finals. Fabio Capello, the England coach, will be present. Levein is aiming for a revival of the oldest rivalry in international football.
"I wasn't fortunate enough as a player to get the chance to play against England and I would love that," he said.
"But I would love to play against Spain, Germany... the very fact we have got some great teams in the competition excites me and England are one I would love to play against."
Levein has been in charge of the Scotland team for six weeks after George Burley was sacked. The target set by the Scottish Football Association is qualification for the 2012 Championship, which will be hosted by Poland and Ukraine. |
