Isobel Christiansen, the England U19 winger, has urged her teammates to approach Thursday's European Championship game against Italy in the same manner they did in their opener against Scotland.

A 3-1 success gave the Three Lionesses every hope of reaching the semi-finals in Macedonia, and a win against the Azzurine on Thursday would secure that with a game to spare.

"I've never played [Italy] before but I'm sure we've got a few things to look at while focusing on ourselves and what we can do," Christiansen told Uefa.com.

"We really had to do some grafting and work as a team [against Scotland]. Luckily we got the result and came through together. It was a great result.

"If we play well we can get the result. We go out to win every game - it's what England is all about."
