The England Women's U23 side were beaten in the opening game of their four-nation tournament at the University of Warwick on Wednesday.

Ellii Reed put the United States ahead and goals from Christen Press either side of half-time added gloss to the victory.

In the day's other game, Sweden were 1-0 winners over Norway. Brent Hills' side will next take on the Swedes on Friday.
