The England defender Casey Stoney has agreed a one-year contract with Chelsea, who she will captain in their final Women's Premier League season.
Stoney, 28, has been with the Blues since 2007 when she joined from Charlton Athletic.
Chelsea are one of eight teams who will take part in the new Women's Super League, which is launching next summer.
Stoney has been a regular in the senior England side since making her debut against France in August 2000.
