The England Women's U20 side were due to meet on Monday ahead of their World Cup campaign.

Mo Marley's squad of 21 will take on the U23 side in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Monday, before flying to Germany on Tuesday for the tournament.

They are due to open their campaign against Nigeria in Augsburg, where England are based, on July 14.

They also take on Mexico and Japan in Group C. They will be confident of going through to the knockout stages, especially with the experience of reaching the final of the European Championship earlier this year."

Most of the players have been involved in European or World finals, so they'll have the experience and know what is expected of them in this environment," said Mo Marley, the coach, speaking to the Football Association's website.

"We're looking at the first task which is our opening game against Nigeria. We're fortunate to have played against them two years ago in Chile and we'll be better prepared as a team from those experiences last time around.

"That's the excitement of playing in a World Cup, playing against teams you wouldn't regularly play and be able to test yourself against them."
