Japan and South Korea must both find new coaches after their current incumbents stepped down.
Takeshi Okada has stepped down as Japan coach despite leading them to their best World Cup finals performance outside their own country.
The Blue Samurai were knocked out in the second round after losing a penalty shootout to Paraguay.
"I want to get away from soccer I don't think I'll work with these players again. I just wish them all the best in their careers," said Okada.
South Korea, who co-hosted the 2002 finals alongside Japan, must also search for a new coach.
They were also eliminated at the second round stage, losing 2-1 to Uruguay. Huh Jung-moo has asked for his contract not to be extended.
"I want time to recharge myself and spend some time with my family, he said.
"There are many good coaches in our football community. They should be given a chance."
