Lee Carsley's England Under-21 side take on France and Portugal during the international break, tough friendly fixtures that begin the build-up to this summer's European Championships where England defend the title they won in 2023.
With Thomas Tuchel having opted largely for experience in his first squad, with a recall for Jordan Henderson, Kyle Walker maintaining his place and 32-year-old Newcastle defender Dan Burn getting a first call, Carsley is able to call on some of the exciting young talents performing well in the Premier League who were mentioned as possibles for the senior team.
Jarrad Branthwaite of Everton, fit-again Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton, Arsenal's Ethan Nwaneri and Ipswich striker Liam Delap come into that category and show that England's options run deep.
The game against Portugal takes place at the Hawthorns, home of West Bromwich Albion, on Monday 24 March.
Tickets for the game are available now with reductions for Baggies' season-ticket holders and members.
The draw for this summer's finals has paired England alongside Germany, Czechia and Slovenia in Group B.
"They’re teams that we’ve played before, so we know a lot about them,” said Carsley at the time of the draw.
"They’re all good teams too, so we know how difficult it’s going to be and it’s a tournament that we’re looking forward to now."
The tournament takes place between 11 and 28 June with Group B fixtures taking place in Dunajska Streda and Nitra.
Tickets are on sale via the official website, priced at 12/15 Euros for the group stage games.
