England goalkeeper Mary Earps has announced her shock from international football. The news comes just five weeks before they begin their European Championship defence in Switzerland.
"I had hoped that Mary would play an important role within the squad this summer, so of course I am disappointed," said England manager Sarina Wiegman.
Earps played 53 games over eight years for England, winning the 2023 Women's Finalissima with her country before helping them reaching the final of the 2023 Women's World Cup.
The 32-year-old PSG keeper helped the Lionesses win Euro 2022, but recently lost her starting place to Chelsea keeper Hannah Hampton.
