An international recall for Ivan Toney is the major talking point of Thomas Tuchel's second squad announcement as England manager, the striker named in the party for the upcoming matches against Andorra and Senegal.
Part of the Euro 2024 squad, Toney's move from Brentford to play in Saudi Arabia looked to have hampered his England prospects but plenty of goals and an Asian Champions League triumph have persuaded Tuchel to take a look at a player in a position where he is not overly stocked with options.
With Marc Guehi allowed to rest the eye injury he suffered in the FA Cup final, Trevoh Chalobah of Chelsea is handed a first call-up while Jarrod Bowen, Harry Maguire and Phil Foden amongst those not chosen.
Marcus Rashford misses out through injury while Tuchel gave his reasons for not selecting Tottenham frontman Dominic Solanke.
"He deserved to be with us and won a big trophy this season, but he was in camp already and I have a clear picture of what he can bring and now is the moment to see new players and get a feel for them in the group."
