England booked their place in the 2026 World Cup semi-finals after a tense 2-1 victory over Norway after extra time in Miami.
Norway took the lead in the 36th minute when Andreas Schjelderup found the net with a deceptive cross-shot that beat Jordan Pickford.
Stale Solbakken's side looked comfortable, but England equalised in first-half stoppage time. Jude Bellingham controlled a pass from Anthony Gordon and fired a low left-footed shot through a crowded penalty box.
The second half produced edge-of-the-seat drama. Norway thought they had restored their lead through Torbjorn Heggem, but VAR ruled the goal out for Erling Haaland's foul on Elliot Anderson.
Kristoffer Ajer then smashed a header against the crossbar as the match headed into extra time.
Three minutes into the extra period, England found the decisive winner. Substitute Morgan Rogers unleashed a powerful strike that Orjan Nyland parried, and Bellingham reacted quickest to turn in the rebound.
Thomas Tuchel's team saw out the remaining minutes with professional composure, setting up a blockbuster semi-final showdown in Atlanta against defending champions Argentina.
