England Women were held in Portugal in their Nations League opener on Friday evening, Alessia Russo opening the scoring in a positive first-half before the hosts enjoyed the best of the second, culminating in a deserved equaliser.
Ahead of next week's Wembley test against world champions Spain and this summer's defence of their own Euro's crown, England manager Sarina Wiegman continues to search for a cutting edge in her side.
"I think when it's just 1-0 you keep a team in it and the longer it stays 1-0 the more the opposition gets confidence," defender Millie Bright told BBC Radio 5 Live.
"We definitely need to be more ruthless in front of goal and take our chances. We need to create a few more as well."
The return of Lauren James provided a boost while Russo again proved herself to be England's most likely source of a goal, netting her 21st in 47 appearances.
In the other game in England's group, Spain staged a late comeback from two goals down at home to Belgium, securing a dramatic winner in the sixth minute of added time.
