England under-21 manager Lee Carsley continues to be linked with club roles after his autumn stint in charge of the senior national team ended successfully with promotion back to the top tier of the Nations League.

Currently back in his previous role and preparing for this summer's European U21 Championships, where England will be defending the trophy they won in 2023, Carsley's name has come up in speculation about the next Leicester manager after their relegation from the Premier League.

He has also been mentioned as a contender for the Glasgow Rangers job with a takeover of the Ibrox club edging closer.

The draw for this summer's finals in Slovakia has paired England alongside Germany, Czechia and Slovenia in Group B.

"They’re teams that we’ve played before, so we know a lot about them,” said Carsley at the time of the draw.

"They’re all good teams too, so we know how difficult it’s going to be and it’s a tournament that we’re looking forward to now."
