Harry Kane began the Bundesliga season with a hat-trick on Friday evening, the England captain adding to his goal in last week's German Super Cup with three of Bayern Munich's six against RB Leipzig.
It was an ominous start to the campaign from both the reigning champions and Kane himself with the 32-year-old gearing up to claim more trophies at club level and end the year with a third tilt at World Cup glory with England.
Well out in front as the national team's record marksman, Kane is currently second on the list of England goalscorers at the World Cup itself, his eight goals across 2018 and 2022 leaving him two behind Gary Lineker's 10 at the 1986 and 1990 tournaments.
Arsenal's £60m signing of Eberechi Eze has been confirmed with the England man in attendance as international teammate Bukayo Saka scored in the 5-0 Premier League victory against Leeds United on Saturday, although Saka was later forced off with an injury.
Eze's 12 England appearances to date have largely come as a substitute but the 27-year-old, having shown his quality on the big stage in last season's FA Cup, will be looking to become a regular starter for Thomas Tuchel following his big-money switch.
