England U21 duo set for Forest moves

Having played a key role in England's U21s retaining their European Championship crown this summer, Omari Hutchinson and James McAtee look set to begin the Premier League season on the same side as well after Nottingham Forest agreed deals with Ipswich Town and Manchester City respectively for the pair.

The Reds are set to shell out nearly £70m for the duo, vital cogs in Lee Carsley's winning machine alongside Elliot Anderson who is already at the City Ground.

Other England players on the move ahead of the big kick-off include Jack Grealish who has signed for Everton on a season-long loan and who will be desperate to feature regular for the Merseyside club and not miss out on a second successive major international tournament.

Leaving Everton is Dominic Calvert-Lewin, last capped in 2021 but still in with an outside chance of adding to his 11 England appearances if he can revive his career at newly-promoted Leeds United given the relative lack of forward options available to Thomas Tuchel.

Rumoured deals yet to be done include Liverpool's pursuit of Crystal Palace skipper Marc Guehi while the Eagles are also looking to keep hold of Eberechi Eze in the face of interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
