Sarina Wiegman has named her squad for April's Nations League matches as England take on Belgium home and away in the Nations League.
With an eye on winning this particular competition but also building to this summer's Euros in Switzerland, Wiegman has called a new face in Brighton's Maisie Symonds while recalling a familiar one in Symond's club-mate Fran Kirby.
"There is lot of competition going on in her position but she knows exactly what to bring at this level," said Wiegman of 31-year-old Kirby, capped 75 times by her country.
Her recall could follow the pattern from 2022 when Wiegman put her faith in the player and was rewarded with a starring role on the way to England's triumph on home soil.
Speaking to the BBC as the build-up to this summer begins in earnest, Kirby said: "I hadn't played much football in the year leading into it so I wasn't really sure what my role was going to be, but Serena [Wiegman] put a lot of trust in me, she made me feel comfortable and she knew I was going to work hard for the team."
Beth Mead is another familiar face returning to the squad after injury as England look to build on their victory against world champions Spain in the last set of Nations League fixtures.
