Raheem Sterling is free to sign for a new club after agreeing a deal to to end his time at Chelsea, having not played for the Stamford Bridge club in a competitive fixture since May 2024.
Capped 82 times by England between his debut against Sweden in 2012, still aged 17, and a substitute's appearance in the World Cup quarter-final defeat to France in 2022, Sterling netted 20 times for his country, including three goals in the delayed 2020 Euros.
Although the 31-year-old may be unlikely to feature for England again, another player on the move this January is still eyeing a return to the Three Lions ranks.
Tammy Abraham is back in the Premier League after making an £18.25m switch from Besiktas to Aston Villa and, with Thomas Tuchel not blessed with striking options, may yet see an opportunity to make this summer's World Cup.
The 28-year-old has 11 England caps but has not featured since a Nations League game against Italy at Molineux in 2022.
