England's international football friendly with France at Wembley will go ahead as planned on Tuesday, the French Football Federation has announced.

The match had been in question following the Paris terror attacks on Friday night which left at least 128 people dead. One of the attacks took place near the Stade de France, where Les Bleus were playing Germany in a friendly.

However, the FFF announced in a statement on Saturday: "President Noel Le Graet confirmed on Saturday that the match between England and France scheduled for Tuesday November 17 (8pm local time) at Wembley will still take place."

Roy Hodgson says he and his players were "shocked" by the terrorist "atrocities" in Paris but the England manager respects the decision to go ahead with Tuesday's friendly at Wembley.

Hodgson, his coaching staff and players watched coverage of the attacks on television when they returned from their 2-0 loss and they were shocked by what they saw.

"On behalf of the England coaching staff and players, I would like to pass on our heartfelt condolences to the French nation at this extremely difficult time," the England manager said.

"The events in Paris have left us all shocked and we are thinking of the victims, their loved ones and all those affected by these tragic events."
