England Under-21's Tune Up for Euros

England Under-21's will head into this summer’s European Championships, to be held in Italy and San Marino, as one of the fancied team in the competition after a smooth qualification campaign.

Aidy Boothroyd's side will warm up for the Euros with friendlies against Poland and Germany next month and with the greater fluidity between Under-21 and senior squads that now exists it will be interesting to see if any of the players who starred in that qualification campaign make the step up to Gareth Southgate’s squad.

Contenders to get the senior nod from the Under-21's last outing, the hugely impressive 5-1 win against Denmark in November, may include striker Dominic Solanke, now on loan at Bournemouth, and Leicester City wideman Demarai Gray.

"The games will allow us the chance to get a gauge of two teams that we may face in the Finals, as both have qualified for the Euros," Boothroyd told the official FA website.

Bristol City's Ashton Gate will host the match against Poland on Thursday 21 March while England will take on Germany at the Vitality Stadium in Bournemouth on Tuesday 26 March.

Early-bird tickets are available from the respective clubs until 24 February, priced at £10 Adults (£15 after this date) and £1 for Under 16's.
