England Women Ready For Wales Test

Friday evening sees World Cup 2019 qualification resume for England Women.

Phil Neville enjoyed a positive start to his role as the new manager of the Lionesses at the SheBelieves Cup in the USA but knows that his success in the job will be judged on England's performances on the world stage next year.

That assumes qualification will be achieved without a hitch and despite Wales heading into the game at St Mary's on top of the qualifying group England have a game in hand and will be clear favourites to win.

Being the underdog suits Wales boss Jayne Ludlow who told the BBC this week: "From a playing perspective it gives us a fantastic opportunity to go out there and do the things I know we can do well and see what we've got a the end of the 90 minutes.

"I back my players and I'm very proud of what they have done so far and I'm sure they'll keep doing that for the rest of the campaign."

Neville meanwhile has made two changes to his squad with Millie Bright and Jill Scott out through injury. Leah Williamson and Jade Moore of Arsenal come in.
