Resurgent England Prove A Big Draw

Gareth Southgate and his squad have re-energised the relationship between supporters and the national team over the past year and that is reflected in ticket sales for the visit of the Czechs on Friday 22nd March, the first of five home qualifiers throughout 2019, with space at Wembley now limited.

And those in attendance are set to see England skipper Harry Kane after an earlier than expected recovery from injury which means the Tottenham striker is in  contention to feature for Spurs at Burnley this weekend.

The initial prognosis of Kane's ankle knock would have seen him touch and go for the opening Euro qualifiers but Southgate should now be able to call on his talismanic captain.

Will the England boss face a dilemma over his assistant however with Steve Holland tipped as a potential interim boss of his former club Chelsea if Maurizio Sarri is sacked at Stamford Bridge?

Any move for Holland is likely to see him split his time between the two roles although England have only the double header of qualifiers in March before the end of the club season.
