We're On Our Way! Kane Wins It For England

England's World Cup got off to a dramatic winning start on Monday evening as they defeated Tunisia 2-1 in Volgograd thanks to two goals from captain Harry Kane.

Gareth Southgate's side showcased their attacking talents in a blistering opening half-hour, Kane pouncing to open the scoring after a good save from the Tunisian goalkeeper and a number of other clear-cut chances going by the wayside.

A controversial penalty handed the North African side a way back into the game before half-time and they came out after the break with the clear intention of holding on to the draw they had unexpectedly found themselves with.

England's forward movements began to lack the pace and thrust that they had earlier but the energy provided by substitutes Marcus Rashford and Ruben Loftus-Cheek ultimately led to the stoppage-time corner that provided Kane with his dramatic winner.

With Belgium easing past Panama earlier in the day three points were vital for the Three Lions as they get set to face the group minnows on Sunday afternoon and potentially book their place in the knockout stages before the heavyweight showdown with the Red Devils.
